We are delighted to inform parents, carers and friends that at the end of last term the school was awarded “Flagship” status for the Inclusion Quality Mark Award. This makes Easington Colliery Primary School one of the first schools in the North last to gain this standard, and the first in the country ever to be fast-tracked to this position (a year quicker than it would normally take).
This award was made in recognition of the very strong inclusive practices at Easington Colliery Primary School which we have for our children, their families and staff. Also recognised was the wide range of opportunities the school provides both within and out of school time, ranging from the free breakfast club (available for all), the highly engaging curriculum, the numerous clubs and after-school opportunities, and the support we provide for children and families throughout their time with us through our various networks. It reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with the school and is truly a great accolade.
