At Easington Colliery Primary School we run our own kitchens, typically serving around 400 lunches a day.
These usually include two cooked lunch choices (often more), a sandwich bar, and a salad bar. Food is prepared freshly each day, and even includes baking our own bread (cobs and baps). The puddings are scrummy (I’ve put on inches round my waist since joining Easington Colliery Primary School!) and I thoroughly recommend them!
Our meals are healthy and nutritious, and are based upon the sample menus produced by Durham County Council. By using their recommended ingredients, we adapt the suggested menu to meet the tastes and likes of our children.
We can cater for specific dietary requirements on production of a Doctor’s note.
Please check out our sample menus which give an indication of the food your child may eat, but be prepared to feel hungry when you have!
